MAYOR BENAVIDES RALLY 2005

Lansing Mayor Tony Benavides addresses about 150 supporters during his First Official Campaign Rally on Friday, March 18, 2005 at his Campaign Headquarters. Well-wishers, citizens, family, friends, and an assortment of print, radio, and television correspondents attended the Re-Election function.

The Mayor is the first to officially file and declare his candidacy for the office he currently holds. The Lansing City Primary is scheduled for Aug. 2, 2005.

ADDRESSING THE CROWD -- Mayor Tony Benavides addresses the gathering at his March 18 Campaign Rally, which officially marked the beginning of his 2005 Re-Election Campaign for Lansing City's top spot. This year's campaign, he said, was already off to a better start than the previous one, which he won.
