- Only
characters in the range of A to Z, 0 to
9 and hypens are allowed.
- Names
can not begin or end with a hypen.
- The
maximum length is 63 characters (exclusive
of the extension portion of the name itself).
.com
The most widely known extension known
on the Internet today. Registration for these
is only $16.95 per year, with no minimum requirements.
.net
The second most common extension, it usually designates
"network", but is often used as a backup
for a .com domain. Registration costs only $16.95
per year, with no minimum requirements.
.org
The
third most common extension, it usually designates
"organization". This is normally used
by non-profit organizations, or personal use.
Registration for these only costs $16.95 per year,
with no minimum requirements.
.biz
The
.biz domain extension will be primarily used for
commercial or business purposes. Registration
for .biz are available at $16.95 per year.
.cc
The
.cc domain extension is now available for registration
to anyone. The cost for these domains is $74.95

.cn
This domain extension was originally designated
for China businesses only, but is now available
to the rest of the world. Registration for these

.info
The
.info domain extension will be open to everyone.
Registration for these domains is available now,
with a minimum 2-year initial registration required
(at $16.95 per year).
.la
The
.la domain extension will allow companies and
individuals to establish geographic branding (mainly
in Los Angeles, Latin America, or Louisiana).
There are no minimum requirements for .la domains,
and the registration fee will be $74.95 per year
per domain.
.name
This extension is new, and is for all general
purposes. The cost for these domains is $16.95
per year.
.pro

The .us domain is the official country code top-level
domain for the United States within the global
